What are the main means for criminals to defraud students?
Criminals take advantage of students' innocence, curiosity or eagerness to find a job and use various means to cheat. Among them, the common means are: 1. Deception by pretending to be a leader, star or relative: Criminals pretend to be authoritative and cheat by making false news. For example, pretending to be a school leader, getting in touch with students through social software such as WeChat, tricking them into making money and transferring money to dangerous accounts. 2. Cheating in exams and cheating in recruitment: In important exams such as college entrance examination and civil service examination, criminals will provide illegal cheating services to students with high interests as bait. In addition, in the recruitment season, criminals will pretend to be recruiters of famous enterprises HR or government agencies, and charge students "referral fees" to trick them into working in uncertified companies. 3. Fake public security law and other means to implement online fraud: criminals impersonate public security, courts, procuratorates and other institutions to send text messages, emails, telephone calls and other means to implement fraud. Cases such as identity cover-up, phishing fraud and contract fraud also occur from time to time. These means will cause great losses and injuries to students, and even involve criminal crimes such as financial crimes. Therefore, students need to strengthen their awareness of self-protection, don't trust strangers, and improve their anti-fraud ability.
How to prevent criminals from cheating? First of all, protect your personal information and don't disclose your name, contact information, bank card number, password and other information at will. Secondly, pay attention to the relevant information released by government departments and media, and keep abreast of the latest knowledge of crime early warning and prevention. In addition, when receiving suspicious information, don't click on the link or reply to the message rashly. You can verify the authenticity by telephone and other means to avoid being cheated.
Criminals cheat students by impersonation, deception and other improper means, which has constituted a crime stipulated in the criminal law. Students should improve their awareness of security and enhance their ability to identify and prevent fraud. At the same time, they should also report crimes to relevant departments to jointly safeguard social justice and stability.
