On the second day of Jiang Wensheng's work, the factory director Lu Hailiang went to Shanghai to negotiate with a foreign businessman. In order to test his English level, the factory director Lu took him there. During the negotiation, a senior translator in Shanghai couldn't even translate a professional word "Shi Ying" correctly, and foreign businessmen said that they couldn't understand it. Director Lu Hailiang glanced at the translator in a hurry and turned to Jiang Wensheng and said, "Go ahead." Jiang Wensheng skillfully translated it into English "fluospar". Foreign businessmen gave Jiang Wensheng a thumbs-up sign.

Since then, Jiang Wensheng's English level has been affirmed by enterprises. Whenever there are important negotiations and important materials, they are handed over to Jiang Wensheng. In Dongyang Chemical Plant, Jiang Wen became an important translator in the factory. When called a "walking dictionary" by colleagues, Jiang Wensheng showed a gratified smile on his face.

By 1996, Jiang Wensheng's vocabulary has reached more than 30,000 words, which is quite impressive. The average English level of TEM-8 is only nearly 10,000 words.

1996 1 month, Jiang Wensheng received a letter from Professor Chen Zhendong of Shanghai International Studies University, asking him to compile an English synonym dictionary, which is mainly used for the research of college students. Jiang Wensheng thinks he is wrong, because such dictionaries are generally written by university professors. He was flattered and began to write this dictionary. Three months later, this book named College English Synonym Ci Lin was successfully published by Fudan University Press. Unfortunately, because Jiang Wensheng is not qualified to write such a high-level dictionary, his name did not appear in the list of "editors" when he went to press, only a paragraph was written in the preface: "The publication of this book is thanks to the great help of Mr. Jiang Wensheng." To Jiang Wensheng's relief, the whole dictionary is basically his first draft, with only a few changes. At present, this dictionary has been printed many times and has become an important reference book for college students and graduate students to learn English.
