What brands of laser welding machines are common in the market?

Compared with other commonly used welding technologies, laser welding technology hardly produces welding slag and debris, and does not need to add any adhesive during the welding process, so the whole welding work can be completed in a clean room. Laser welding technology has greatly promoted the development of medical devices, such as the shell packaging of active implantable medical devices, radiopaque markers of heart stents, earwax protectors and balloon catheters.

Plastic laser welding machine is a popular high-end plastic welding technology in China in recent years. Prior to this, plastic welding machines used traditional plastic welding methods, such as vibration welding, hot gas welding, ultrasonic welding, implant welding, friction welding and so on.

Laser welding is widely used in various fields of medical devices because of its advantages of local heating, precision machining and non-contact heating.

Laser welding is to use high energy density laser as a heat source to irradiate the joint of materials, so that the separated materials can quickly melt or even vaporize after absorbing laser energy and form a molten pool together, and then solidify together in the subsequent cooling process to connect them. Figure 1 shows the laser welding process of the pipeline. The red area in the figure is roughly the propagation path of laser, and the high brightness area is the metal vapor produced by vaporization of metal after heating. Seeing that there are readers here, I can't help asking, where is the laser? Why didn't I see it? This is because there are two kinds of high-power lasers commonly used in laser welding: CO2 laser and solid/fiber laser. The wavelength of the former is 10.6μm, or the wavelength of the latter is 1.06/ 1.07μm, both of which are in the infrared band, so they are invisible to the naked eye.
