According to the government portal of Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone, Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (Hannan District) belongs to the independent jurisdiction of Wuhan and is also one of the functional areas of Wuhan. This area is located in the southwest of Wuhan, adjacent to the Yangtze River waterway in the east, between the Third Ring Road and the Outer Ring Road in Wuhan, across the river from Jiangxia District, Hongshan District and Jiayu County, bordering honghu city and Xiantao City in the west and caidian district and Hanyang District in the north.
