Looking back at the murder case in Wangfujing, Beijing: What happened after migrant workers degenerated into murderers?

Wangfujing is a famous commercial street in Beijing, China and even the world. It has a long history and a special geographical location. It is less than a kilometer away from Tiananmen Square, and more importantly, it is close to the Ministry of Public Security.

Such a core position should be quite safe in everyone's eyes. Otherwise, how can tourists and citizens be assured of sightseeing, and how can we reflect the powerful power of the state machine?

However, there was a serious murder here.

Extraordinary murder case

In 2006, the Beijing No.2 Intermediate People's Court sentenced the suspect Ai to death because he maliciously caused three deaths and nine injuries in Wangfujing.

In the late summer of 2005, Al Xu Qiang went out by taxi. When the taxi drove near Wangfujing, Ai Xuqiang took out the murder weapon he had already prepared and attacked the taxi driver.

After the taxi driver lost the ability to resist, Ai Xuqiang drove the taxi into Wangfujing Street from north to south, knocking down many people in a row until the taxi hit a lamppost and was forced to stop.

Go to work in the north

1974, Ai was born in Xinyang, Henan. Parents are out-and-out farmers, and their lives were not rich. In addition, they have given birth to six children, which makes it even more unbearable for families who used to rely on four acres of thin land for a living.

Under such poor conditions, Al Xu Qiang grew up and got married. Unexpectedly, before he was 30, his marriage ended in failure. This is undoubtedly a blow to life.

Since then, in order to make a living, single youth Ai Xu Qiang came to Beijing to work with relatives. Although Beijing is an important economic town in China, Ai, as a migrant worker, has not lived a relatively comfortable life in Beijing. On the contrary, sometimes even the rent depends on relatives.

Go south, and then go home.

In 2004, Ai Xuqiang heard that his hometown sand factory was doing well and was recruiting forklift drivers. Since going north is not smooth, it is better to go home south.

Ai, who returned to Henan, tried his best to learn to drive a forklift, and finally got a skill. With the prosperity of the sand factory, his work is relatively busy, and his natural living standard is gradually improving.

However, the good times did not last long, that is, for more than half a year, the sand factory, as an enterprise that polluted the environment, was rectified and shut down by the local authorities.

This shutdown made Ai Xuqiang, who had been expecting salary payment, lose hope, and his life, which had begun to improve, was suddenly interrupted.

Revenge society

Perhaps it is the successive blows of unfortunate marriage, unsatisfactory work and sluggish business, and Ai Xuqiang's mood has gradually gone wrong.

It is said that he sometimes squats at the door of his residence and stays alone for a long time without saying a word.

If people can't be masters of emotions, they will easily become slaves of emotions.

Ai Xu Qiang, whose emotions can't be effectively regulated, has become increasingly distorted, and his sense of revenge on society has been continuously enhanced, and finally he has embarked on the road of crime.

Psychiatric appraisal

Ai Xuqiang, who can only drive a forklift, drove a taxi to create a bloody case in Wangfujing. As soon as it happened, the police quickly came to the scene and took control of the culprit, Ai Xu Qiang.

In view of Ai Xu Qiang's experience, the police arranged for him to have a forensic psychiatric appraisal.

The results show that Xu Qiang does have mental problems and suffers from neurosis, but this does not mean that he may lose his self-control. On the contrary, Ai Xuqiang has normal full capacity from hurting taxi drivers to hitting people with cars.

After trial by the court, Ai Xuqiang was sentenced to death for endangering public safety and compensated several victims for their economic losses.

Although Ai Xuqiang was brought to justice, Wangfujing was restored to its former prosperity. Later, the public security department strengthened its police force and installed surveillance nearby. However, we should realize that no matter how unhappy our life is and how depressed our emotions are, we can't use criminal means to retaliate against society to solve and dismiss it, let alone make fun of other people's lives.

In fact, as an adult, the key to being more mature than a minor lies in the control of emotions and the ability to judge and bear the consequences of their actions.
