When will the Yinlan high-speed railway operate?

On February 29th, 20 19, Yinchuan-Zhongwei section of Yinlan high-speed railway was officially opened for operation, and on February 29th, 2022, Zhongwei-Lanzhou section of Yinlan high-speed railway was completed and opened to traffic.

Yinlan High-speed Railway, also known as Yinlan Passenger Dedicated Line, is a high-speed railway connecting Yinchuan City in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and Lanzhou City in Gansu Province, and is an important part of Jinglan Passage, one of the main passages of the "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway in the Medium and Long-term Railway Network Planning.

Yinlan High-speed Railway runs from Yinchuan Station to Lanzhou New District Station (Shuping Line introduces Zhongchuan Intercity Railway Lanzhou New District Station). The main line is 425 kilometers long, with 14 passenger stations, and the designed maximum speed is 250 kilometers per hour.

Construction planning

The Yinchuan-Zhongwei section of Yinlan high-speed railway starts from Yinchuan Station, turns eastward along expressway and baotou-lanzhou railway in the south and crosses the Yellow River. It has an underground station with Hedong Airport and crosses the Yellow River to Wuzhong via lingwu city. From the southern end of Wuzhong Station, along the Beijing-Tibet Expressway, it goes south through Guanma Lake and Gunquan to Zhongning East Station, and westward through Xuanhe to Zhongwei South Station along the south bank of the Yellow River, passing through Xixia District, Yongning County, lingwu city, Litong District of Wuzhong City, Hongsibao District, Zhongning County and shapotou district of Yinchuan City.

There are 7 stations in the Zhongwei-Lanzhou section of Yinlan high-speed railway, namely Zhongwei South Station, Beitan Station, Pingchuan Station, Jingyuan North Station, Baiyin South Station, Lanzhou New District South Station and Lanzhou New District Station. Beiwan Station is reserved between Jingyuan North Station and Baiyin South Station, and two new line stations, Dinggou Line Station and Shuping Line Station, are added.
