Shanxi General Aviation Vocational and Technical College (public) is a public full-time higher vocational and technical college approved by the Shanxi Provincial People's Government and filed by the Ministry of Education. Founded in 2020, it is located in Tonghang Industrial Park in Datong City, Shanxi Province. It is jointly organized and managed by the Shanxi Provincial People's Government and the Datong Municipal People's Government, and accepts the inspection and guidance of the Provincial Department of Education and the Provincial Sports Bureau in business.

As of March 2023, the college has a total area of 556 mu and a planned total construction area of 244,000 square meters. The total value of teaching and scientific research instruments and equipment is nearly 40 million yuan. There are three majors, namely 105 faculty members, 3,977 students and 2,650 students.

The college has a school scale of 6000 students. In 2020, it is planned to enroll 1.500 students, which will be steadily expanded year by year. The first batch plans to offer six majors: UAV application technology, aviation ground equipment maintenance, general aviation navigation technology, civil aviation transportation, helicopter driving technology and aircraft maintenance.

By 2024, the total number of specialties will reach 22, more than three provincial specialties will be built, and five major specialty groups, including general aviation flight, general aviation crew, general aviation maintenance, general aviation navigation and general aviation engineering, will be established to form a relatively complete general aviation vocational and technical professional system.
