Types of aptitude tests

General aptitude test includes general aptitude test, special aptitude tests, mechanical aptitude test, creativity aptitude test and leadership aptitude test. General orientation test is what people usually call intelligence test. This is a test of general intelligence. It tests not a single intelligence feature, but a set of abilities, including memory, vocabulary, numbers and IZI head expressions.

In the intelligence test, the concept of "IQ" is used to express the level of intelligence: IQ is generally expressed in two ways: one is called ratio IQ and the other is called deviation IQ.

Ratio IQ is often used in children, and its calculation method is to multiply the ratio of intellectual age (MA) to actual age (CA) by 100. That is, the deviation IQ (IOD=(MA/CA)* 100.

Because intelligence does not always develop with age, it is obvious that IQ is not suitable for adults, so IQ is usually used to express the intelligence level of adults.

IQ assumes that the test scores of human intelligence are normally distributed as a whole, and IQflO is calculated by the average value 100 and the standard deviation 15. Then a person's IQ should be: IQ = 100+ 15. Special abilities mean that some people have abilities that others don't. Sometimes, due to the needs of jobs, some special abilities need to be tested in enterprise recruitment, and some psychological testing instruments need to be used to test special abilities. At present, many specialized aptitude tests have been formed and widely used in practice. Here is a brief introduction:

(1) clerical ability test. The secretarial aptitude test mainly tests candidates' ability to handle daily office work, such as typing, recording, sorting and keeping, proofreading, binding letters and notifying contacts. Due to the different work levels and unit sizes, the content of paperwork will also vary greatly. Generally speaking, the secretarial ability test includes the following items:

Fast reading ability;

Efficiency of document arrangement;

Shorthand of articles and names;

Correctness of text proofreading;

Digital operation ability;

Necessary management knowledge and social adaptability.

(2) Psychomotor aptitude test. Psychomotor aptitude test is mainly used to measure a person's rapid change, flexibility, coordination and other physical operation characteristics. Most of these tests are typical instrument operation tests, which are mainly used for personnel selection in industrial and military fields. They are usually specially compiled for some special work. Testing is the action required to partially or completely reproduce the work itself.

There are three commonly used psychomotor aptitude tests:

Artistic aptitude test. Creativity is a special and advanced ability of human beings. At present, there are various definitions of creativity. Psychologists generally believe that creativity is the ability of divergent thinking, which is manifested in fluency, flexibility and uniqueness in behavior. The core of creativity is the ability to create thinking, and the performance of creativity tendency test is as follows:

Flexibility of thinking. Be able to think and solve problems flexibly, and be good at circuitous solutions when encountering obstacles.

Divergence of thinking. Thinking about problems has many angles and a wide range, and it is not easy to be bound and restricted.

The uniqueness of thinking. Views and opinions are novel and unique, and are not affected by convention.

The fluency of thinking. Can generate a lot of ideas quickly. Leaders required by leadership positions not only need to have the intelligence, knowledge, ability and ability tendency of leaders, but also must have leadership ability. Leadership ability is the ability of leaders to organize, guide, command, control and coordinate leaders to complete predetermined goals, tasks and plans. This ability is comprehensive and demanding, which determines the efficiency, goal and success or failure of leadership activities. Leadership consists of a variety of abilities, among which the most basic ability tendencies to be tested are the following two:

(1) logical reasoning ability test. The accuracy and sensitivity of candidates' thinking and the rigor and consistency of logical reasoning are the basic qualities that a manager should have. The ability to analyze and solve problems is very important for managers.

The purpose of the aptitude test of logical reasoning is to help enterprises select outstanding management talents who have strong language analysis ability, can quickly and deeply process information, find the key to the problem, are good at analyzing information expressed in language and words, and can make judgments based on facts rather than subjective assumptions.

The aptitude test of logical reasoning is mainly suitable for the selection process of middle-level and above managers with considerable academic qualifications.

(2) Sensitivity and communication skills test. Sensitivity and communication aptitude test is to understand the sensitivity, insight, foresight and analytical ability of candidates to grasp interpersonal information in communication by examining their analysis of specific problems or phenomena, the depth of handling and the sensitivity of grasping the essence of problems, as well as their coping strategies in the face of various complex situations. At the same time, we can also understand its communication strategy mode and predict its ability to persuade, influence and infect others at work and achieve coordinated results. Based on the quantitative analysis of candidates' open communication tendency and manipulated communication tendency, it can provide a basis for the comprehensive evaluation of communication ability. Sensitivity and communication aptitude test is a measuring tool to examine skills such as insight and communication ability, which is suitable for people who need to know the level of interpersonal communication ability and whether it is suitable for people who pay attention to interpersonal communication.
