Longquan Academy, the predecessor of Longquan Middle School in Jingmen City, Hubei Province, was built in 1754, which is one of the earliest "three major academies" in Hubei Province. 1904 was transformed into Jingmen Simple Normal School, and 1907 was transformed into Jingmen State Government Middle School.
