When will Wangjing Avenue start?

Changsha, August 7 (correspondent Mao Weidong) At present, the construction of Xiaoxiang North Road in Wangcheng District of Changsha City has entered the final sprint stage, and the construction workers are working overtime to fully promote the construction of roads and related ancillary projects, and strive to realize the opening of main roads before the National Day.

Xiaoxiang North Road, with a total length of 20. 1km, starts from Sanchaji Bridge in the south and ends at Weishui Sluice in the north. Two-way six lanes, with a design speed of 60km/h, is the traffic artery connecting the downtown area of Wangcheng and the main urban area of Changsha, which is of milestone significance for promoting the development of the core area of Waterfront New Town. The project is divided into four parts, of which the 3.54 km road from Sanchaji Bridge to Yangfeng Road was completed and opened to traffic last year. The 660-meter section from Xingyue Road to Yangfeng Road will pass under Purui Avenue in the form of a passage. At present, the construction of underground passage project is drawing to a close.

Luo Jinwei, head of Xiaoxiang North Road Project of Chengtou Group in Wangcheng District, introduced that the 8.54 km section from Wangjing Avenue to Xingyue Road is the PPP section of China Construction Fifth Bureau, including 3 bridges, 4 underground pedestrian walkways and 4 culverts. At present, the construction of pavement, bridge, box culvert and pipeline is advancing in an all-round way. The 7.3 km section from Wangjing Avenue to Weishui River is a cooperative section of Minmetals, which has entered the construction of water-stable structure layer and is expected to open to traffic in early September.

Wang Congsheng, the project leader of the Third Company of China Construction Fifth Bureau, introduced that the Lower Chongyang Lake Bridge is a five-hole multi-arch landscape bridge with a length of130m and a width of 64m. This bridge, the Upper Chongyang Lake Bridge and the PianHongqu Bridge are all controlled projects of this bid. Due to the large amount of silt at the bottom of the lake and poor geological conditions, the construction technology is complex and difficult. At present, they are organizing construction forces to make every effort to ensure that the section from Xingyue Road to Wangjing Avenue in Xiaoxiang North Road is completed as scheduled.

Xiaoxiang North Road is the longest road under construction in Wangcheng District, passing through 4 streets, 10 village and more than 50 groups. Land requisition and demolition along the line are difficult and the construction environment is quite complicated. The whole line includes 4 bridges, 1 underground passage, 6 underground pedestrian passages, 6 drainage box culverts and other structures. The technology is complex and the construction is difficult. Because most road storm sewers must be constructed in flood season, Xiangjiang River has a high water level, and it has to face many unpredictable and complex geological conditions such as piping and quicksand. Some road sections must adopt measures such as cement mixing pile bottom sealing and supporting piles on both sides, which further increases the construction difficulty and cycle. In view of the particularity of the project, Wangcheng Investment Group set up a special leading group to fully promote the project construction.
