Container inspector. It is a full-time and high-tech post recognized by the international community. IICL promotes international container professional qualification certification. Because of its excellent teaching materials, thorough training and rigorous examination, it has attracted great attention from container leasing and container liner companies all over the world. Holding this certificate means high employment rate and generous salary, and most of them have become container leasing, shipping, freight forwarding, shipping agency, container transportation, container terminal yard and other companies.

The global unified examination for container inspectors is jointly organized by 13 international container leasing company and held in more than 40 examination centers in more than 30 countries around the world every year. China and Shanghai are the major examination centers in Asia. By the end of 20 19, more than 600 students had been awarded the title of "container inspector" nationwide.

In the United States, IICL cooperated with the State Council and the Coast Guard to formulate the provisions of the International Convention for Container Security and the United States Container Security Act. Through the US Tax and Law Committee, IICL and the US Treasury jointly formulated a double taxation treaty to prevent other countries from setting potential multiple taxes on containers in the future. The Committee also ensures that containers can continue to circulate freely in international trade by dealing with customs of various countries.

The Association enjoys advisory status in the International Maritime Organization (IMO), the United Nations Economic and Social Commission and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). 13 container leasing companies are CAI, CRONOS, FLEXI-VAN, FLORENS, GESEACO, GOLD, SEACASTLE, TAL, TEXTAINER, TRAC and TRITON respectively.
