Although Fushi Technology has not been established for a long time, it has accumulated three product lines: SPAD, optical sensing and face recognition. Mo Liang Hua, CEO of Fushi Technology, told 36Kr that the company expects to complete pre-listing financing in the first half of 2022.
With the increasing demand for autonomous driving technology in automobiles, commercial robots, AR/VR and other products, vision technologies such as laser radar have also ushered in development. Avalanche diode (APD) is the key device of lidar, but it has some problems such as complex system, high power consumption and high cost. It is a solution to apply SPAD (single photon avalanche diode) technology originally used in military and aerospace fields to civil laser field.
Mo Liang Hua told 36Kr that APD (Avalanche Diode) needs hundreds of photons to detect effectively, while SPAD (Single Photon Avalanche Diode) can detect one photon effectively. SPAD is widely studied in the field of scientific research, so it is difficult for large-scale civilian use and has a high threshold for commercialization. In the past, SPAD devices in military and aerospace fields were mainly made of gallium arsenide. Fushi Technology has developed a silicon-based SPAD, the cost of which is reduced to one tenth of the original APD, which can be used for civil lidar.
On the difficulty of technology research and development, Mo Liang Hua told 36Kr that there are three difficulties in SPAD devices: First, SPAD devices are a comprehensive discipline integrating materials, processes and design, and need multiple technical foundations to develop; Second, the difficulty of chip design, photon flying speed is very fast, wave length is short, it is necessary to receive multiple photons at the same time, and make the chip low power consumption in high-speed circuits; Third, anti-interference ability, SPAD has the advantage of high sensitivity, but ambient light and other lidar signals will interfere with SPAD devices, affecting their efficacy or even failing.
Mo Liang Hua said that Fuji Technology has opened SPAD equipment, which has improved the efficiency of photon detection. In addition, the anti-interference ability of single photon avalanche diode is weak, and Fushi Technology has developed a system scheme to solve the anti-interference problem.
There are nearly 40 people devoted to the research and development of lidar, including doctors 1 1, and some of them are high-level professionals recruited from overseas. The research institute and the company's senior chip design team spent more than two years, breaking through the difficulties of technology, devices and circuit integration, and developed SPAD lidar products, which have now started mass production and supply.
At present, the chip is mainly used for short-distance ranging, and can be used for intelligent toys such as sweeping robots, service robots, mowing robots and Tucki robot horses. Fuji has reached a strategic cooperation with passenger car lidar company to jointly develop SPAD chips and products for vehicle lidar.

At present, the products and technologies of Fushi Technology have served more than 10 industries, providing chips and complete technical solutions for mobile phones, Internet of Things, autonomous mobile devices, automobiles and other terminals. It is reported that at present, Fushi Technology is cooperating with well-known domestic brands such as Xiaomi and OPPO, as well as well-known passenger car lidar company, some of which have been officially mass-produced and listed.
Mo said that Fushun Technology's revenue in 20021is expected to increase by more than ten times compared with the same period of last year, and the company's revenue in 2022 is expected to increase by another ten times.
