What can the steel structure be combined with for further design?

The steel structure can be further designed in combination with the design drawings.

Brief introduction of steel structure

Steel structure is a structure composed of steel, which is one of the main types of building structures. The structure is mainly composed of steel beams, steel columns, steel trusses and other components made of section steel and steel plates. The rust removal and rust prevention processes such as silanization, pure manganese phosphating, washing and drying, and zinc plating are adopted. Welding, bolts or rivets are usually used to connect components or parts. Steel structures rust easily. In general, steel structures should be derusted, galvanized or painted, and maintained regularly.

Second, the characteristics of steel structure

(1) The steel structure has poor corrosion resistance: it is easy to corrode, especially in wet and corrosive media. Generally speaking, steel structures should be derusted, galvanized or coated, and maintained regularly. For offshore platform structures in seawater, special measures such as "zinc block anode protection" should be taken to prevent corrosion.

(2) High degree of mechanization in steel structure manufacturing and installation: steel structure members are easy to be manufactured in factories and assembled on the construction site. Factory mechanized manufacturing of steel structure members has high precision, high production efficiency, fast on-site assembly speed and short construction period. Steel structure is the most industrialized structure.

(3) The steel structure has good sealing performance: because the welded structure can be completely sealed, it can be made into high-pressure containers, large oil pools, pressure pipes and the like with good air tightness and water tightness.

(4) Is the steel structure heat-resistant or fire-resistant? When the temperature is lower than 150℃, the properties of steel have little change. Therefore, the steel structure is suitable for high-temperature workshops, but when the radiation on the surface of the structure is about 150℃, it should be protected by heat insulation board. When the temperature is between 300℃ and 400℃, the strength and elastic modulus of steel decrease significantly, and when the temperature is around 600℃, the strength of steel tends to zero. In buildings with special fire protection requirements, steel structures must be protected by refractory materials to improve the fire resistance rating.
