Why does Nanchang want to build a wangcheng?

In order to make Wangcheng New District better integrate into downtown Nanchang, and fully connect with Jiulong Lake area, and create a multi-functional compound new city center in the future.

In fact, Nanchang City has been talking about going west for many years, but it has finally made substantial progress this year, starting the construction of Mengshan Avenue, which is expected to open to traffic at the end of this year, and at the same time, Changli Expressway will open an exit in the region at the end of this year; Jiangxi (Chengtou) Kechuang Ecological New City has been introduced into the project, and more importantly, the land will be repositioned in the near future. Wangcheng New District of Nanchang is located in the southwest of downtown Nanchang, under the jurisdiction of newly-built district of Nanchang, and co-located with newly-built mayor new industrial district of Jiangxi.

On August 5th, 215, the State Council officially approved the adjustment plan of some administrative divisions in Nanchang, and agreed to cancel the newly-built county and establish the newly-built district in Nanchang, thus clearing the administrative obstacles. Wangcheng New District in Nanchang has a unique location advantage and a unique transportation network, which has become the main battlefield of the strategy of "westward expansion" of downtown Nanchang and one of the "three strength plates" of Nanchang's economic development.
