Geographical location of Youyang County in Chongqing

Youyang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County is located in Wuling Mountain area in the southeastern border area of Chongqing, at the junction of Chongqing, Hubei, Hunan and Guizhou provinces, and is an important gateway to southeastern Chongqing. The county covers an area of 5 173 square kilometers, which is the largest county in Chongqing. It governs 39 townships with a population of 730,000, including 445,000 Tujia people, 0/65,000 Miao people, and 0/6 Manchu, Yi, Hui and Li people. Ethnic minorities account for 83.6% of the county's total population, belonging to Tujia and Miao ethnic groups.
