Metro Line 3 generally refers to Nanjing Metro Line 3, passing through 29 stations, as follows:

Forest Farm Station, Huo Xing Road Station, Dongda Chengxian College Station, Taifeng Road Station, Tianruncheng Station, Liuzhou East Road Station, Shangyuanmen Station, Wutang Square Station, Xiaoshi Station, Nanjing Station, Nanjing Forestry University Xinzhuang Station and Jiming Temple Station.

Fuqiao Huahai 3C Square Station, Daxing Palace Station, Changfujie Station, Confucius Temple Station, Wudingmen Station, Yuhuamen Station, Kazimen Station, Daming Road Station, Farming Square Station, Nanjing South Station, Hongyun Avenue Station, Shengtai West Road Station, Tianyuan West Road Station, Jiulong Lake Station, Chengxin Avenue Station, Dongda Jiulong Lake Campus Station and Shuizhou East Road Station.

Nanjing Metro Line 3 is the sixth subway line opened by Nanjing Metro and the second cross-river line opened by Nanjing Metro. April 15 officially put into operation, passing through Pukou District, Gulou District, Xuanwu District, Qinhuai District, Yuhuatai District and Jiangning District, with a total length of 44.9 kilometers, including 42.5 kilometers underground and 2.4 kilometers elevated.

Significance of Nanjing Metro Line 3 Construction

1, Nanjing Metro Line 3 runs through the north and south of the Yangtze River, connecting the main city, Jiangbei New District and Dongshan Sub-city, strengthening the connection between the main city and the sub-city, and forming the north-south urban axis of the urban development area.

2. It connects the most important external transportation hubs such as Nanjing South Railway Station and Nanjing Railway Station, and more importantly, it transfers with the existing or planned rail transit line of1,which plays an important role in stabilizing the rail transit network in Nanjing.

3. The northern section of Metro Line 3 serves the cross-river passenger flow, and the southern section is a passenger flow corridor connecting South Station and Dongshan Sub-city with the main city, which relieves the traffic pressure in downtown Nanjing.

4. After the opening of Metro Line 3, it will be more convenient to travel to and from Jiangbei and the main city, and the labor cost of enterprises will also be reduced. It not only reduces the labor cost of Jiangbei enterprises, but also promotes the development of Jiangbei Economic Park.
