RISC-V is one of the instruction set architectures (ISAs), which specifies the basic specifications of semiconductors. It was developed on 20 10 by researchers at the University of California, Berkeley. The biggest advantage of RISC-V is that it is completely free and open source. Recently, the appearance of RISC-V has increased. The standard has been continuously applied in wearable devices and smart home appliances, and it is estimated that the adoption rate will reach nearly 30% by 2025.

In China, wearable device manufacturers such as Huami Technology have always adopted this architecture. Alibaba Group has developed an Internet of Things AI chip based on RISC-V and made its ip public. Earlier, it was reported that Huawei provided HarmonyOS system developers with the first HarmonyOS system development board Hai 3861chip based on RISC-V architecture.

Large overseas IT companies are also actively adopting RISC-V. Google launched a new smartphone "Pixel 6" series on 202 1 and 10, and developed a semiconductor for data protection for this series by using RISC-V. Apple in the United States has started to recruit "RISC-V programmers" on the recruitment website. Western Digital put forward the policy of replacing the control semiconductor of storage equipment with RISC-V products. Japanese companies such as Sony Semiconductor Solutions and Hitachi have also joined the group.
