Xiangnan College is an undergraduate university located on Luoyu Road, Junshan District, Yueyang City, Hunan Province, China. Its predecessor was Yueyang Normal School founded in 1991. In 2003, it was renamed Shonan College. It is a member of the “National Language Standardization Demonstration School”, “Hunan Province Ordinary College Transformation and Development Pilot College”, “National Defense Education Characteristic School”, and “China University of Applied Technology (College) Alliance”.

In 2003, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the original Chenzhou Normal College, Chenzhou Medical College, Chenzhou Education College, and Chenzhou Normal School were merged into a full-time general undergraduate college, and was renamed "Xiannan Hunan" Academy". In 2013, the school successfully passed the undergraduate teaching qualification evaluation by the Ministry of Education. In November 2017, the school was newly added as a project construction unit (third batch) for master's degree awarding units in Hunan Province.

Xiangnan College is located on Luoyu Road, Junshan District, Yueyang City, Hunan Province, about 12 kilometers away from Yueyang City.
