Brief introduction of Sichuan

Sichuan is the provincial administrative region of People's Republic of China (PRC) (China), with Chengdu as its capital and located in the southwest inland of China. By the end of 20 18, Sichuan Province had 18 provincial cities, 3 autonomous prefectures, 17 county-level cities, 108 counties, 4 autonomous counties and 54 municipal districts.

There are six world heritages in Sichuan: Jiuzhaigou, Huanglong, Sichuan Giant Panda Habitat, Emei Mountain-Leshan Giant Buddha, Qingcheng Mountain-Dujiangyan and Dongfeng Weir. There are four protected areas listed in the World Man and Biosphere Protection Network: Jiuzhai, Wolong, Huanglong and Daocheng Aden.

By 20 17, there are 15 national scenic spots and 75 provincial scenic spots in Sichuan. As of July 20 17, there were five national scenic spots 12 and four national scenic spots 185 in Sichuan Province. Emei Mountain and Jiuzhaigou are the first national 5A scenic spots.
