Exploration in the eastern exploration area of ??the south open pit of Dajing Mining Area, Qitai County, Zhundong Coalfield, Xinjiang

(1) Overview

The exploration area is located at 350° and 140 kilometers away from Qitai County, and the administrative division is under the jurisdiction of Qitai County.

From September 2008 to July 2010, the Ninth Geological Brigade of the Xinjiang Geology and Mineral Exploration and Development Bureau carried out field geological work. The type of mineral explored was coal mines, the level of work was exploration, and the investment in exploration funds was 31.75 million. Yuan.

(2) Description of results

The coal-bearing strata in the exploration area are the Lower Jurassic Badaowan Formation, the Middle Jurassic Xishanyao Formation, and the Middle-Upper Jurassic Shishugou Subgroup under the group. The Badaowan Formation contains 1 coal layer, with an average thickness of 2.35 meters, a stratum thickness of 174.47 meters, and a coal content coefficient of 1.3%. The Xishanyao Formation contains 2 layers of coal, with an average total thickness of 65.78 meters, an average layer thickness of 113.91 meters, and a coal content coefficient of 58%. The lower subgroup of the Shishugou Group contains 1 coal layer with an average thickness of 1.30 meters. The average thickness of the formation is 308.34 meters, and the coal content coefficient is 0.04%. There are 4 mineable coal seams in the exploration area, which are numbered from top to bottom: C1, , , and A1. The B1 coal seam is non-sticky coal (31BN, 21BN). The C1 coal seam is dominated by long-flame coal (41CY), followed by non-sticking coal (31BN). The A1 coal seam is long-flame coal (41CY). The B1 and A1 coal seams belong to thermal coal and civil coal. The C1 coal seam is high-sulfur coal and cannot be used temporarily.

The total identified coal resources are 8.322 billion tons (8.298 billion tons of non-stick coal, 28 million tons of long-flame coal), of which: 3.126 billion tons of proven intrinsic economic resources (331) (non-sticking coal); the controlled amount of intrinsic economic resources (332) 1.928 billion tons (1.922 billion tons of non-sticking coal, 06 million tons of long-flame coal); the inferred amount of intrinsic economic resources (333) 3.272 billion tons (non-sticking coal 1.922 billion tons) 3.250 billion tons of sticky coal and 22 million tons of long-flame coal). In addition, the predicted resource amount (334) is 263 million tons (long flame coal). This report increases the resource amount by 157 million tons compared with the last report.

(3) Brief process of achieving results

From September 2008 to July 2010, the Ninth Geological Brigade of Xinjiang Geology and Mineral Exploration and Development Bureau carried out field geological work,** *Completed workload: ***Completed 48 boreholes, 35,277 meters of drilling footage, 76 kilometers of 1:5000 topographic and geological profile measurements (6 pieces), 438 kilometers of 2D seismic profiles (44 pieces), and 23,821 physical points 1,292 samples of various types were collected.
