Suzhou Centennial Vocational College is a Sino-foreign cooperative education institution approved by the People's Government of Jiangsu Province, registered with the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Education, and jointly organized by Suzhou University of Science and Technology and Centennial Institute of Technology in Canada. The first Sino-foreign cooperative higher vocational college with independent legal person qualifications.

The predecessor of Suzhou Centenary Vocational College is Suzhou HKU Sipei Vocational College of Science and Technology established in 2005. On March 17, 2015, the college signed a cooperative education agreement with Centenary Polytechnic Institute of Canada. The college’s cooperative education partner is the University of Hong Kong. The School of Professional and Continuing Education was replaced by Centenary Polytechnic Institute of Canada.

On January 12, 2016, with the approval of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and the registration with the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China and the People's Republic of China on July 22 of the same year, the college was renamed Suzhou Centenary Vocational College.
