Construction of New District of Yueqing Economic Development Zone

The total planned area of the new development zone is 22.07 square kilometers, of which 5.95 square kilometers is approved by the State Council. The development area of the first phase of the new area is 2.25 square kilometers, and 107 enterprises have settled in. Now all construction has started, and more than 80 enterprises have been put into production. In 2004, the output value was nearly 2 billion, and the employed population was about 20,000.

The second phase of the new area is a provincial key project "Industrialization Project of Development Zone", with a total land area of 2.2 square kilometers. Among more than 500 registered enterprises, more than 40 large enterprises have been selected as enterprises in the zone, with an estimated total investment of 5 billion yuan. Upon completion, the total annual output value will reach 20 billion yuan, and the employed population will be 654.38+10,000. At present, preliminary work such as land pre-trial has been started.

The third phase of the development zone will adopt the strategy of "eastward expansion", that is, nearly 10,000 mu of land will be reclaimed, and more than 6,000 mu will be reclaimed recently, so as to solve the problem of industrial land shortage by using tidal flat resources, especially the investment land problem of the international enterprise Henderson Land, which has signed an investment agreement with the municipal government. According to the agreement, Ye Weiheng plans to invest10 billion yuan to build a large-scale modern production base, which will have a far-reaching impact on optimizing Yueqing's economic structure and upgrading its industrial level.

After more than ten years' construction, Yueqing Economic Development Zone has become two civilized construction bases in Yueqing, a window for opening to the outside world, an important carrier for Yueqing's industrialization to promote urbanization, and a new growth point, support point and gathering point for industrial economy in the 2/kloc-0 century.
