How to interview CAD and SW draftsmen in ordinary factories?

At present, there is little simple drawing work and the salary is not high. It is meaningless to draw without knowing the design. Many companies no longer have the position of draftsman. They are not draftsmen, but engineering assistants, and more are clerks. This kind of interview mostly depends on whether the three-dimensional modeling ability and engineering drawing labeling are national standards.

Last year, I jumped ship. Before I left, the company recruited a sheet metal engineer to fill the vacancy. I am engaged in mechanical design and sheet metal ID design in the company. As far as more than 30 engineers in the whole group know about sheet metal design and production technology, the burden of interview naturally falls on me. Look at the candidate's resume first, and ask him about the expansion coefficient of various plates, the relationship between plate thickness and V-groove, the expansion coefficient of dead edge, and the non-90-degree bending coefficient. After confirming that there is no problem, let an entity with equal thickness split on the computer and draw an expanded engineering drawing, from which we can observe his split level, modeling experience, count his expanded size, and see if K factor, bending and deduction are used, and whether the engineering drawing is standardized. , to determine his.

As for the recruitment of mechanical engineers, it is more complicated. Basic assembly, tolerance and metal technology are all the contents of the interview. For example, how to choose the tolerance of shaft hole fit, how to choose the material of friction pair, how to design the screw pair, what form of structure to use, what form and position tolerance constraint to use, how to choose the heat treatment process of conventional materials, turning, milling, grinding pliers and so on. After confirming that the theory is OK, directly operate the drawings. After confirming its modeling and engineering drawing level, after reaching the trial standard, observe whether the design ability of its general parts and the design ability of various institutions meet the requirements during the trial period. If so, end the trial ahead of time and turn it into a formal one.

Speaking directly of CAD and solidworks, I recruited two mechanical designers myself some time ago, but neither of them passed the probation period and were dismissed. One of them has one year working experience in sheet metal, and both CAD and sw can draw pictures, but the selection of views and dimensioning are not good. The other one is relatively new, CAD knows a little, sw doesn't, but the effect is not good, so I think CAD should not just draw pictures. What is more important is the understanding of processing technology, the correct choice of tolerance and the contents of some national standard drawings. You can draw and mark correctly during the interview, and talk about why you have a good impression from the processing technology. If you are sw, you can learn parts, sketches, sheet metal, welding and assembly.

During the interview, the interviewer threw me a caliper and a part, and then said arrogantly, draw it, and I will draw the caliper without saying anything. As a result, the interviewer said that I was too good to invite the giant Buddha in the small temple to cover my face.

Hehe, so try? If you don't believe me, take out a picture that your company can't figure out for your interview!

It depends on what position you want. For example, if you want to be a master, you have to have these skills. Understand drawings, command blanking, lathe workflow, and buttons. If you are a team leader, you must be able to read drawings, read and do, and have the patience to teach employees. If you are an employee, you can take the tram. If you are under 26, you can't study all of them. As for the latter two kinds of wages, you have to work hard on your own, because most of this industry is piecework.

Using these two drawing softwares is very simple. As long as you have junior high school culture, I promise you will learn it in half a day! But you can't design yet! Not an engineer!

First of all, there are relatively few requirements for fresh graduates, such as whether the major is right or not. Simply ask some instruction functions to see how your foundation is, show you drawings, and what some labels mean. If you have work experience, it is possible that the interviewer will ask to see the drawings you made before, and will also show you drawings that you can read and draw. In addition, if you have work experience in this field, it is ok.

Generally, get to know your foundation first, show you a picture, and then draw a part on the spot. Finally, talk about salary.

In fact, more factories rarely recruit simple draftsmen, of course, it is not excluded! Generally, this will directly let you draw!
