Driving a train requires passing the examination organized by the State Railway Administration and obtaining the driver's license of the corresponding type of railway locomotive and rolling stock. The specific process is as follows:

(1) application

When applying for a driver's license for the first time, you can only apply for one of J5, J6, L2 or L3 quasi-driving locomotives and vehicles. An applicant for the qualification of railway locomotive and rolling stock driver shall meet the following conditions:

(2) Examination

2. The examination includes theoretical examination and practical examination (practical operation examination). Those who apply for J 1, J2 or JBOY3 driving qualification should add relevant contents of the EMU driving adaptability test during the examination.

3. The theoretical examination content includes traffic safety regulations and professional knowledge.

4. The content of practical examination includes inspection, testing and driving. Only after passing the theoretical examination can the practical examination be carried out.

As long as one subject fails in the theoretical examination or practical examination, it is judged as unqualified.

(3), audit certification

1. If there is no objection within 5 working days after the results are announced, the test center will submit the driving license materials to the Equipment Supervision and Management Department of the State Railway Administration.
