However, many types of water reducing agents can delay air entrainment. For example, most water reducing agents used in mixing stations and construction sites have other functions, such as retarding and air entraining. When he designed them, he considered delaying them for several hours according to the normal dose. If the normal dosage is a little more or less, the retarded air-entraining will not exceed the standard. However, if it is excessive (the general admixture factory will have the recommended dosage range), it will slow down too much and lead to too high air entrainment.

Specifically, you can ask the additive manufacturer to see if there is any problem exceeding the standard.

When I prepare water reducer, I usually consider the measurement error. 1.5 times mixing is probably not a big problem, and it is hard to say if it is doubled. Because the concrete is dry, it is not a big problem for you to add a dozen or twenty kilograms of water reducing agent, but you must turn it over for a few minutes and mix it evenly before discharging. Adding additives as long as it is not excessive is better than adding water, and adding water is definitely not enough. Generally, our mixing station will add additives or return to the factory for degraded use.
