The Decision of the Standing Committee of Guangzhou Municipal People's Congress on Abolishing Some Administrative Licensing Matters in Local Regulations of Guangzhou was voted by the 9th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 12th People's Congress of Guangzhou on June 29th, 2004 and approved by the 12th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 10th People's Congress of Guangdong Province on July 29th, 2004. It is hereby promulgated.

According to Article 83 of the Administrative Licensing Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), "The provisions on administrative licensing before the implementation of this Law shall be cleared up by the enacting body in accordance with the provisions of this Law", the 9th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 12th People's Congress of Guangzhou deliberated the proposal on canceling some administrative licensing items in local regulations of Guangzhou, and decided to cancel 68 administrative licensing items in local regulations of Guangzhou. The Municipal People's Government and its relevant departments should conscientiously do a good job in the supervision and management after the cancellation of relevant administrative licensing matters to prevent the management from being out of touch. This decision shall be submitted to the Standing Committee of Guangdong Provincial People's Congress for approval and promulgated.
