Nanjing Zhenghe memorial hall

Located in the southeast corner of Zhenghe Park, east of Taiping South Road and north of Nanjing Mafu Street (now Nanjing Railway Bridge), it was the former site of Zheng He's palace when he was a eunuch stationed in Nanjing. It is a group of buildings with two-story exhibition halls as the main body, academic seminar halls and hexagonal pavilions. The courtyard is shaded by trees and bamboos, surrounded by stacked stone fountains and long corridors, showing the characteristics of Jiangnan gardens. Zheng He's cultural relics exhibition in the museum is divided into one exhibition hall and three exhibition halls. On the black marble pedestal facing the preface hall, there is a bust of Zheng He holding the imperial edict. Behind the statue is a huge oil painting: On the vast and choppy sea of Wan Li, the mighty Zheng He sailors are sailing and crossing the sky. On the wall are the Chronology of Zheng He's Navigation and the electronic version of Zheng He's Navigation General Map. The first exhibition hall introduces China's maritime scientific and technological achievements, maritime activities, the establishment of a unified feudal country in Ming Dynasty and the social and economic development since Qin, Han, Song and Yuan Dynasties, revealing the history and historical background of Zheng He's voyage to the West. The theme of the second exhibition hall upstairs is "Zheng He's voyage to the West is a feat in the world navigation history in the15th century", and the exhibits are extremely rich, including the11.07m long rudder, giant stranded wood, iron anchor, stone mortar, and eunuch Wang Jinghong and his colleagues on the eve of Zheng He's seventh voyage to the West. With the scale of 1:85, Zheng He's ship model developed Chen Fang's Zheng He's Navigation Chart in the form of "one". The whole picture goes down the river from Tianfei Palace and Jinghai Temple in Xiaguan, Nanjing, passes through Liujiagang in Taicang, leaves the country through the Yangtze River estuary to Wumen in Fujian, reaches the city-state along the coast (now south-central Vietnam) and passes through Nanyang Islands. The third exhibition room attached to the academic seminar hall displays physical specimens such as the List of Zheng He's Import and Export Goods to the Western Seas and the photos of King Tanny's Burying China.
