What are the main characteristics of silver-copper brazing?

Silver-copper alloy refers to silver alloy with copper as the main alloying element.

The copper content in silver-copper alloy is different, and the color is also different, from silvery white to rose red. Fine crystallization, no brittleness, and better wear resistance than pure silver. Its outstanding feature is its strong sulfide resistance. AgCu5, AgCu7.5, AgCu 10, AgCu 15, AgCu20, AgCuNi20-2 and AgCu25 are used as electrical contact materials. It has good mechanical properties, wear resistance and welding resistance, and is mainly used as the contact of high-voltage and high-current relays and the electrical contact in light and medium load circuits. AgCu7.5, AgCu25, AgCu28 and AgCu55 are mainly used as brazing materials, of which AgCu28 is the most widely used. It has good conductivity, fluidity and wettability, and is widely used in electric vacuum industry. Because the resistance to long-term loading below high temperature is not great, it is only suitable for brazing parts with working temperature below 400℃. Silver-copper alloys are also often used as coins and decorations. Alloys used as coins include AgCu7.5, AgCu8, AgCu 10, etc. AgCu8.4 and AgCu 12.5 are used as decoration.
