Is ATC a high-income group?

The controller's income mainly consists of two parts, namely, basic salary plus hourly salary. The hourly fee is determined according to the working years and levels, ranging from 30 to 60 yuan, while the hourly fee for a pilot in the industry is about 200 to 500 yuan. In contrast, the controller's salary is really unattractive.

The monthly salary of front-line control employees with less than five years is about 5000~8000 yuan, about 10000 yuan for six to eight years, and about 1 12000 yuan for eight years. However, there are regional differences in this salary system. According to the evaluation coefficient of airport busyness, the treatment of controllers in Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen is higher than that in second-and third-tier cities, but it is not obvious.

"The income of air traffic controllers is unattractive, which really affects the recruitment of personnel. In the past, after graduation, students of Civil Aviation College first chose to work in air traffic control, and then went to airlines and airports. Now it's the other way around, which has caused talents to stay behind to some extent.
