Modern steel uses artificial intelligence and big data for production management.

According to the Korea Herald reported on June 28th, a related person of Hyundai Iron and Steel Company said on Tuesday that Hyundai Iron and Steel Company has established an intelligent enterprise system, which is an advanced management program to supervise production, sales and infrastructure management through artificial intelligence technology.

Hyundai Steel said: "The new system can use ai technology and big data to promote the whole process of steel mills from production to sales."

A person related to modern ironmaking said: "The data will be integrated through technology to form an optimal customer-centered decision-making process and complete the intelligent enterprise system."

Hyundai Steel set up a working group to create a platform for collecting and merging data to innovate the overall manufacturing, infrastructure system and production management of its workplace. The company added that the full operation of the new system will be ready in 2025.

By upgrading the instrument control module of steelmaking and steel rolling process, steel manufacturers' factories will also implement production systems based on artificial intelligence, so as to control and measure production materials more accurately. The company said that it has been developing the instrument control module, which will learn how to combine other control data to run in the factory. This high-tech module will also be applied to other business operations, which can make accurate decisions based on data and monitor errors in the whole production process.
