Professional qualification of gold traders

Gold traders are the threshold of employment. Shanghai Gold Exchange will gradually implement compulsory certification measures for gold traders' qualifications and establish a professional access system in member units, and implement the Measures for the Administration of Gold Traders in Shanghai Gold Exchange to improve the professional skills and comprehensive quality of employees in the industry.

(1) Gold trader qualification certificate becomes the qualification certificate of gold investment and gold investment management.

Shanghai Gold Exchange will adopt mandatory regulations, requiring all gold practitioners in member units, including many domestic and foreign banks, trust and investment companies, comprehensive and self-operated institutions, to have gold trader qualification certificates before taking up their posts, so as to quickly improve the investment management ability and management level of the domestic gold investment industry and improve the industry's ability to resist risks.

(2) The requirements for passing the gold trader examination should be improved.

In order to realize the original intention of establishing the qualification certificate for gold traders, the qualification requirements for gold traders will be gradually improved in the future, and authorized training institutions will be required to give lectures seriously, so that qualified personnel can have corresponding gold investment knowledge and trading skills and become one of the most valuable qualification certificates for gold traders.

(3) Strictly implement the system of training assessment, follow-up training and annual review.

After obtaining the qualification certificate, gold traders must submit information to the Shanghai Gold Exchange every year, which will remain valid after passing the annual examination. Through the follow-up vocational education, the knowledge updating speed of gold traders is synchronized with the industry.
