Wangdu County is located in Jizhong Plain, 35 kilometers southwest of Baoding City. It belongs to the piedmont slope area of Taihang Mountain. The area is flat and inclined from northwest to southeast. The ground elevation is between 30 and 50 meters, and the ground slope is about 1/600 to the west and11000 to the east of Beijing-Guangzhou Railway.

Wangdu County has a continental semi-arid monsoon climate, with dry and windy spring, annual average temperature 1 1.8℃ and annual average rainfall of 507.5 mm, which varies greatly from year to year and is unevenly distributed during the year.
