2. Introduction of Anhui University of Science and Technology

Founded in 1945, the school is the first engineering university in Anhui Province and one of the first two universities in China to train mining talents. 1955, the school was upgraded from Huainan Institute of Coal Mining Technology to Hefei Institute of Mining Technology, and 1958 was renamed Hefei University of Technology. 197 1, the disciplines and specialties related to coal mines moved back to Huainan and merged with Huainan Coal Mine School (1963 Huainan Mining Institute moved to Taishan, Shandong Province, and Huainan Coal Mine School stayed behind).
