Yunnan Vocational College of Electromechanical Technology has 22 majors, including electromechanical integration technology, electrical automation technology, computer application technology, logistics engineering technology, intelligent control technology, civil aviation transportation service, engineering cost, automobile manufacturing and testing technology.

Yunnan Vocational College of Mechanical and Electrical Technology originated in 19 10, when it was a provincial industrial school. In 1930, it was renamed as Kunhua Advanced Industrial Vocational School. In 1962, it merged with Yunnan Radio Industrial School, Kunming Electric Power School, Kunming Chemical Industry School and Kunming Light Industry School to be renamed as Yunnan No.1 Industrial School.

The school is located in Ciba District, Panlong District, Kunming City, Yunnan Province, under the winding Changchong Mountain, with elegant environment and convenient transportation. At present, there are two campuses in Kunming and Dongchuan, which are jointly run with Yunnan Economic and Trade School and Yunnan Business Information Engineering School.
