Hong Kong Passport Guangzhou Processing Process

Procedures for handling Hong Kong passports in Guangzhou:

1. Designate a photo collection point to collect and print * * * standard photos of the people of China and documents for going abroad (border) for personal reasons;

2, fill in the complete "China citizens to go abroad (border) application form";

3, the applicant's identity card or other household registration certificate, and submit a copy. If the applicant is under the age of sixteen, he shall provide his guardian's ID card or other household registration certificate, and submit a copy;

4, national staff registration, should provide opinions issued by the subordinate organizations, personnel management and administrative departments, and build official seals;

5. The labor management company approved by the State Foreign Economic and Trade Commission introduces and provides descriptions of labor cooperation projects (signed labor projects, time of going abroad, list of dispatched laborers), which are signed by the legal representative and stamped with the seal of the labor management company and a copy of the qualification certificate of the labor management company.

Passport category:

1. Citizens who go abroad for non-official reasons such as settling abroad, visiting relatives, studying, employment, traveling or engaging in business activities may apply for ordinary passports;

2. Diplomatic officials, consular officials and their accompanying spouses, minor children and diplomatic envoys may apply for diplomatic passports;

3. Citizens who enter or leave the country as seafarers and work on foreign ships shall apply for seafarers' certificates;

4. Citizens going abroad on business shall issue diplomatic passports or official passports as needed.

To sum up, when applying for a Hong Kong passport, citizens should submit their identity card, household registration book, recent bareheaded photos and materials related to the reasons for application.

Citizens who renounce their China citizenship shall return their ordinary passports and entry-exit passes to the exit-entry administration of public security organs or other foreign institutions entrusted by China's embassies and consulates abroad and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Citizens who go to Hong Kong and Macao to settle in Hong Kong and Macao with a travel permit shall return their ordinary passports to the exit-entry administration of the public security organs.
