With the rapid development of cloud services, big data, artificial intelligence, 5G and other information technologies, "enterprise digital transformation" is no longer just a concept, but has become an imperative step for enterprises. In this process, major software vendors have played a key role. China Software Network interviewed Zu Yuling, vice president and general manager of Neusoft Group, and looked forward to the future of the software industry from his perspective.

The Software Products Division was established in 2009, with Zu Yuling as the general manager, and it has been ten years since then. It was formed by the merger of four "horizontal" business departments at that time: Human Resources Information Department, Archives Products Department, E-learning Products Department and Courseware Products Department. In the previous nineteen years, Neusoft's organizational structure has always been industry-centered, such as dividing business divisions according to industries such as finance, electric power, telecommunications, education and medical care. The establishment of the Software Products Division is a step towards the standardization of Neusoft software products.

China Software Network: As far as we know, the software division currently has two flagship products, human resources system products and file system products. What's their market reaction? How is it laid out?

We mainly lay out the middle and high-end market. At present, the market share of human resources system products in the banking field is the first, and its customers include Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of Beijing, bank of tianjin and Guangdong Development Bank. In addition to banking, we also serve leading enterprises in social insurance and real estate. President Wanda once commented on Neusoft's human resources system, "clear thinking and convenient operation". Neusoft's file system products were developed from 1992, and it was also one of Neusoft's first products sold in large quantities. After continuous upgrading and optimization, it is quite mature at present, and its customers include Beijing Archives, Guangdong Archives, Hangzhou Archives, Taiping Group and China Resources Group.

China Software Network: Can you briefly introduce the core advantages of these two products?

There are three core advantages. The first is the leading platform architecture. We have a dedicated platform product department with more than 20 years of platform development history. From the business foundation platform UniEAP to the cloud application platform SaCa to the big data advanced analysis application platform RealSight, this ensures the flexibility and advancement of our application software. The second is the expansibility of the system, sustainable optimization and upgrading, and vitality. We will continuously and stably serve our customers, such as Neusoft Human Resources System, which has served China Bank for over 12 years and Wanda Group for over 10 years. Third, our application software combines recent technological achievements, such as cloud services, big data, artificial intelligence and so on. For example, Xiaohui, an intelligent voice assistant in the human resources system, allows employees to solve related personnel problems by asking questions, improve efficiency and release labor costs.

China Software Network: What challenges do you think these two products are facing at present?

In the process of research and development, we always seek a balance between the usability and functionality of products. For example, our human resources system has more than 3,000 function points, which can well meet the complex needs of customers. And how to make all the function points can be completed within "three clicks", there are still some challenges. In order to provide customers with a better application experience, we are constantly optimizing. The second is how to effectively integrate the latest technologies such as cloud services, big data and artificial intelligence, including new technologies that may appear in the future, with the business to meet the future development needs of customers. This requires the product division to build its own operating system, not only to provide products, but also to "product+service" model. We work together with Amazon, Ali, Baidu and other partners in an open and innovative way to form complementary business in order to better provide products and services to customers.

China Software Network: Just now you mentioned the integration of new technology and business. What actions has the product department taken in this regard?

This can be reflected in the transformation from "product" to "product+service". In fact, Neusoft put forward this concept internally, which has continued to the present 10 year, and also put forward the B2B2C strategy. During this period, we provided information systems for enterprise customers, accumulated a lot of business data, and brought relevant insights to help enterprises make decisions. For example, Neusoft's human resources system has portraits of corporate talents. We can analyze which colleges or majors are more suitable for enterprise development through portraits, thus providing guidance for enterprise recruitment. You can also analyze the employee's turnover intention, starting with the selection, use, education and retention of talents. These are the practices of big data technology and business integration. We have a professional team to provide customers with business analysis and consultation through enterprise data, and only provide tools and methods to ensure data security.

China Software Network: What are the development priorities of these two products in the second half of 20 19 and next year?

The first is to increase product research and development. Especially in the deepening of the transformation of "product+service" mode and the integration of AI technology and products. Specific to the human resources system, it will increase the investment in research and development of semi-automatic models, which have been formed and need to be continuously optimized. The second point is to be more focused. Focus on the high-end market and provide greater value for high-end customers. Focus on industries and increase the market share of state-owned enterprises, finance, real estate and other industries.

Integrating into Industrial Internet and Exerting Software Value

China Software Network: Apart from the cloud services, big data and artificial intelligence just mentioned, what opportunities can the software industry seize? How to land?

Industrial Internet, the software industry needs to be truly integrated into the industrial Internet. This is the thinking angle of "service", and what kind of service is the ultimate goal of software. The so-called "software defines everything" is also said at this level. Looking around the world, whether it is life science, genetic engineering technology or the best quantum computing in China at present, the research and development in these fields are also closely related to software, and they are inseparable from software. On the other hand, software should be truly integrated into the industrial Internet, serve the industrial Internet, and play a greater social value.

China Software Network: Compare with Internet IT service companies (Ali, Baidu, etc. ), what are the characteristics and roles of software companies in the future development?

This is in line with the previous question. Software needs to be closely integrated with industry and industry, and will go deep into industrial internet and industrial ecological chain in the future. Software companies have a deep understanding of the needs, services and values of industry customers and the development trend of this vertical industry. Internet companies serve enterprises with the advantage of bringing value to enterprises through traffic, which is what they are good at. The development strategy and operation mode of software companies are different from those of Internet IT service companies, so the growth mode and business model are also different. Internet companies want to enter the industrial Internet and also need to cooperate with software companies. Therefore, it is a better model for the two to cooperate to serve enterprises and the Internet.

China Software Network: At the end of this year, China Software Network will hold the China Enterprise Service Annual Meeting with the theme of "Turning Point Has Arrived". What turning point do you think the software industry will face and how to spend it? Any suggestions?

The name "China Enterprise Service Annual Meeting" is very good. Not mainly named after "software", but named after "enterprise service", which is very suitable for the current situation. From the perspective of the integration of software industry and industrial Internet, software companies must integrate into industrial Internet and integrate hardware and related service providers to provide services for customers, so as to reflect their value. Personally, I think this turning point, as I said before, can not only bring value to corporate customers in the form of products, but also in the mode of "products+services", which is a kind of continuous cooperation.
