What's the difference between a dietitian and a public dietitian? Where can I apply?

Nutritionists are different in nature.

Public nutritionists mainly focus on public nutrition, focusing on public health education and health promotion, but not on the induction, rehabilitation and physical therapy of common diseases and frequently-occurring diseases in clinical nutrition.

Nutritionists mainly start with four modules (food selection, recipe compilation, nutrition evaluation and nutrition education), and combine clinical nutrition on the basis of public nutrition, which is more comprehensive, professional and practical.

Certification bodies are different.

The public dietitian certificate belongs to the prefecture-level certification and has geographical restrictions.

Nutritionist certificate is issued by the national ministries and commissions, with national emblem and steel seal, which is universal in the whole country and can be found online, without annual inspection, and accompanied for life.

Different teaching modes.

Most public nutritionists still teach in fixed places. Limited by time and space, for office workers, some chapters may be delayed because they can't catch up with the class time, and they have to travel by car every time they go to class, and they may have to travel to more than half of the city.

Teachers are different.

Public nutritionists mainly study public nutrition, and the invited teachers may be single, without explaining clinical nutrition. Moreover, in some training institutions, in order to save costs, one teacher often talks from beginning to end, which has a very bad influence on students.

Employment and entrepreneurship assistance.

Generally, after getting the certificate, the relationship between the training institution and the trainees is over. What students learn in training institutions is only the knowledge in books, and there is not much practical teaching for dietitians, and there is no guidance for dietitians who have obtained dietitians' certificates for employment and entrepreneurship.
