Anhui Medical University is a medical college in southern Anhui. Southern Anhui Medical College, located in Wuhu City, Anhui Province, is a full-time general institution of higher learning focusing on medicine and developing in many disciplines. It is the construction unit of the doctoral degree authorization project in Anhui Province and the pilot university of comprehensive education reform in Anhui Province.

The school was founded in 1958 as Wuhu Medical College, and 1970 was merged into Anhui Medical College. 197 1 was renamed as Anhui Medical College, which was established independently with the approval of the State Council.
