However, due to the backward variety and primitive production, the pork produced has high fat content, low lean meat rate and low slaughter rate, and the epidemic prevention work is not in place, resulting in a large number of deaths of pigs, which has caused great economic losses to pig farmers and greatly reduced the enthusiasm of farmers to raise pigs. Smaller production scale has not brought the farmers the economic benefits they deserve. Therefore, it is urgent for Puyang pig industry to speed up the improvement of pig breeds, produce high-quality lean pork, meet the market demand, let farmers really increase their pig income and solve the problem of rural surplus labor force. Establishing improved pig farms and cultivating a large number of high-quality piglets is the key and necessary prerequisite for the improvement of pig breeds in our city.
