There are three kinds of welder certificates: according to the issuing department, welder professional qualification certificate, welding and hot cutting operation certificate, special equipment welding certificate and building welding certificate. Classification by grades: Welding certificates are divided into five grades: Grade 5 (primary), Grade 4 (intermediate), Grade 3 (advanced), Grade 2 (technician) and Grade 1 (senior technician); Classification by type of work: it can be roughly divided into fusion welding and hot cutting operation certificate, pressure welding operation certificate and brazing operation certificate.

According to the classification of different issuing departments, welder certificates can be divided into welder professional qualification grade certificate, welding and hot cutting operation certificate, special equipment welding certificate and building welding certificate. The welder's professional qualification grade certificate, referred to as "welder's grade certificate" for short, is issued by the Human Resources and Social Security Bureau without annual examination. After passing the examination, you can receive training subsidies.

Welding and hot cutting operation certificate, referred to as "welder's operation certificate", also known as "work permit", is a necessary certificate for welders to work at their posts. Issued by the Emergency Management Office (formerly the Safety Supervision Bureau), it needs to be reviewed once every three years and renewed once every six years.

Special equipment welding certificate, also known as "pressure vessel welding certificate", is issued by the Quality Supervision Bureau and is a necessary qualification certificate for welding pressure vessels.

Construction welder certificate, similar in nature to welder operation certificate, can only be used in the construction industry. It is issued by the Ministry of Housing and Construction, reviewed every two years and extended every six years.
