Who is the earliest academician in the world?

The academician system originated in Europe and has spread all over the world. Many scientists dream of winning the highest honorary title in this academic field.

Legend has it that in ancient Greece, there was a hero named Akkadmos who saved Athens from a possible catastrophe with his wisdom and sense of responsibility. After his death, he was buried in an olive grove in the northwest suburb of Athens, so people called this quiet forest garden Akademi. In 387 BC, Plato, a famous ancient Greek philosopher, began to give lectures in Arcadia, so Arcadia was also called Plato's Academy.

After the Renaissance, many academic groups in Europe called themselves Akkademi because they worshipped Plato. Akkadmi became the nickname of this group. Since16th century, many activities of Akadi Rice in Europe have gradually shifted from focusing on literature to science, and developed in different directions, divided into academic groups or professional research institutions.

In the middle of the 17 world, France established a number of research institutions named Academie, among which the Royal French Academy of Sciences was founded in 1666. This college recruits famous scientists for research work in the name of French emperor Louis XIV. They are the first members of the National Academy of Sciences in the history of the world. The establishment of the Royal French Academy of Sciences and the active work of academicians have strongly promoted the rapid development of French science and made France the scientific center of the European continent.

Since then, other countries have followed the example of France, set up academies of science and hired academicians. The same is true of Petersburg in Russia and the Royal Academy of Sciences in Prussia. In the later historical process, the scale and functions of the National Academy of Sciences have changed differently, but the fact that the Academy is composed of academicians has not changed.
