It only takes more than an hour to go from Quanzhou to Longyan by train, but I found that I have not been to Longyan in nearly five years. I have seen the earth buildings of Yongding, the landscape of Liancheng and the ancient city of Changting. This time I came to western Fujian again for Longyan Fliport Jinghua Hotel.

In Longyan, there are really not many good hotels that can be named. many. Fliport Capital Hotel should be regarded as a landmark hotel in this city. Fliport Capital Hotel is located in the center of Longyan, adjacent to multiple business districts. The hotel is located in Longyan's landmark building, the super-high-rise CBD twin-tower landmark complex Jinghua Center. It is only ten minutes away from Longyan Station, which is very convenient whether you are traveling for business or tourism.

When you step into the hotel lobby, you can see the huge lacquer painting "Chuxi Earth Building" nearly 10 meters high at a glance, which is very shocking. The content of the lacquer painting is based on the Chuxi Tulou Group in Yongding, Longyan, showing the ultimate aesthetics of Longyan Hakka Tulou architecture. Tulou, like Fliport Jinghua, are the business card of this city. The design of the white crystal lamp on the dome of the lobby is also very beautiful. When the lights are turned on at night, it is very atmospheric. The lobby bar is on the left and has a large space, which is a good choice for meeting guests and chatting.

The hotel is currently the tallest hotel in Longyan. It has a rooftop helicopter landing pad, complete yew Western restaurant, Hongshan Tea Chinese restaurant and Longzhu Teppanyaki cuisine and other supporting catering facilities. The indoor heated swimming pool, SPA, and fitness center are all open to tourists.

I particularly like the hotel’s heated swimming pool with its all-glass curtain wall. It’s a great experience to spend an afternoon swimming in the center of the city.

Stay in a selected large bed room of nearly 40 square meters, with light brown as the main tone, simple and fashionable. The overall guest room is warm and comfortable, giving people a unique experience of peace and tranquility. The all-glass curtain wall provides great lighting and vision. I live on the 25th floor, which is considered a very high floor, and I can see most of the city's landscape in Longyan.

The bathroom is also very large, with a dry and wet bathroom layout and a large bathtub.

On the top of Longyan, the Cloud Bar of Fliport Capital Hotel is located on the 34th floor, overlooking Longyan City. On a day with good weather, the distant mountains and white clouds are very beautiful, making it a great place to take photos. In the Cloud Bar, you can enjoy afternoon tea and enjoy the city view of Longyan during the day; at night, it is a bar where you can enjoy the neon lights of Longyan.

For the afternoon tea set for two, you can choose two drinks. Of course, I still choose an American drink. Refreshments include various desserts, fruits, and salty snacks, so there are many choices. The price is 88 yuan per set, which is not expensive in Longyan and is very cost-effective. From an environmental perspective alone, this is a great deal.

After 8 pm, the city’s neon lights lit up, but the Cloud Bar dimmed the lights. There are a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available to different diners, making the cloud bar very comfortable. With a few friends, a glass of wine and a conversation, Longyan's nightlife can be so exquisite. Currently only open from 15:30-23:00 from Thursday to Friday.

At the Hongshan Cha Chinese Restaurant provided by Fliport Capital Hotel, you can enjoy Hong Kong-style refreshments and authentic Fujian cuisine. Longyan is a great place to get together with friends or entertain guests. The restaurant environment is elegantly decorated in Chinese style and has 9 private rooms, all of which are named after famous places in western Fujian and have local characteristics.

The Hong Kong-style refreshments for 2-3 people are very rich, with 9-11 kinds of refreshments. The crystal dumplings, steamed chicken feet with drum juice, scallion oil and pork floss buns and sashimi porridge are all highly recommended. Hong Kong-style refreshments for two people are NT$99 each, and a meal for three is almost even more sumptuous at NT$139.

While staying at the hotel, we also ordered a meal in the restaurant.

Integrating creative dishes and authentic Longyan flavors, there are many choices. Fried beef river, salted egg yolk shrimp, lotus seeds and sea cucumber are all very good. The per capita consumption of Chinese food is between 120-150.

Red Camellia Chinese Restaurant is open every day from 10:30-14:30; 17:00-22:00.

Japanese-style teppanyaki is a catering service provided by many hotels, and it is also more popular among young people. The decoration of Longzhu Teppanyaki Restaurant is modern and simple, and the entire space is elegant and stylish. The restaurant has independent private rooms where you can interact closely with the chef.

The portions of Longzhu Teppanyaki cuisine are really generous. For a single meal of 188 yuan, the cod and steak are both very large. You will feel full within a short time of the meal.

Yew Shan Western Restaurant is the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant. Breakfast and buffet dinners during your stay at Fliport Jinghua Hotel are all served here. The restaurant is located on the 6th floor of the hotel. It is decorated with floor-to-ceiling windows and has a good city view to enjoy. The dining area is large, and there are also relatively independent private rooms to choose from.

The restaurant brings together a variety of global delicacies, including fresh seafood and sashimi, Cantonese-style claypot, and Longyan’s local clear soup noodles, all of which are highly recommended. The open kitchen of the restaurant allows you to watch the whole process of the chef cooking Chinese and Western dishes, which is very safe.

The dinner buffet also has a small hot pot. Diners can choose their own dishes at the dining table. All kinds of mushrooms are very fresh.

In a unique year like 2021, it has become a fashion to check in on red travel and remember the past. The Central Soviet Area (Western Fujian) History Museum is only a 10-minute drive from Fliport Capital Hotel. This is a comprehensive revolutionary museum that comprehensively reflects the revolutionary history of Western Fujian and highlights the history of the Central Soviet Area (Western Fujian).

It is a provincial first-level museum and a national 3A-level scenic spot. There are mainly basic displays of "Red Western Fujian" and special displays such as "Red Clay Celebrities of Western Fujian" and "Central Soviet Area·Fujian". The museum tells visitors about the past of Western Fujian during the revolutionary years through its collection of 20,000 cultural relics, and depicts the selfless spirit of the children of Western Fujian in their dedication to the revolution.

The museum is open free of charge, Tuesday to Sunday, 8:15 to 11:45 am, 2:15 to 5:15 pm (summer: no change in the morning, 3:00 to 5:45 pm). The specific location is at No. 51 Beihuan West Road, Xinluo District, Longyan City. Take bus No. 9, 12, or 27 in the city to the "Yujingyuan" stop and walk 100 meters west to reach it.

It was 5 years ago since I last went to Changting. This time I came to Longyan once again. Starting from Baijinghua Hotel, I found that it is very convenient to take the high-speed train to Changting for a one-day trip. On a one-day trip, we arrived at Changting Ancient City at 9 a.m. and spent the day checking in at the former site of the Soviet Government of Fujian Province, Sanyuan Pavilion, Wolong Academy, Diantou Ancient Street and Tingzhou Ancient City Wall.

The first stop is the former site of the Fujian Soviet Government, which can be visited for free. It is also the Changting County Museum. Inside, you can learn about the history of Red Changting and Hakka. Opposite it is the Sanyuan Pavilion, the ancient city gate of Tingzhou built in the Tang Dynasty. This is the core area of ??the ancient city, surrounded by a large citizen square, and it is very grand to take pictures.

After passing Sanyuan Pavilion and walking along the alley, you can reach Wolong Academy. Compared with the entire ancient city, this point is not very recommended. The newly renovated scenic spots have some flavor, but the layout is too commercial and lacks some flavor.

The most famous old street in the ancient city is probably Diantou Street. There is a little bit of commerce, but the overall feeling is pretty good and the prices are not expensive. There are also many aborigines living in the ancient street, which is very fireworks. gas. When dining in the ancient city, it is highly recommended to eat at Diantou Street. Zui Chunfeng is not bad, and the per capita consumption is around 70. Be sure to eat beef and chicken when you go to Changting, they taste great. If you want to buy something, Chaotianmen dried tofu and soaked duck feet are both good.

You must go for a walk around the Changting Ancient City Wall. Walking down the entire wall, only Jichuan Gate requires tickets, and the rest are free. The city wall is built along the river, and some sections rely on the mountains, overlooking the ancient city of Changting.

Although we only stayed for a short 12 hours, walking in the streets of the ancient city, we can still see many traces of history. On the city wall and under the shade of trees, I met groups of old people, watched them chatting, and felt the fireworks of this ancient city.
