What is the drilling function of Marine Geology 10 launch?

On the morning of June 28th, China's latest marine scientific research ship "Marine Geology 10" was successfully launched in Dongguan, Guangdong Province, marking a new stage of comprehensive marine scientific research in China.

"Marine Geology 10" is a high-precision multifunctional comprehensive geological survey ship independently designed and built in China. It has a length of 76m, a width of 15m, a draft of 5.2m, a displacement of 3,400t, a maximum speed of15 knots, and a navigable capacity of 8,000 nautical miles, and can operate in an infinite navigation area.

The ship is equipped with the first self-developed lifting offshore drilling system in China. It is expected that at the end of this year, Marine Geology 10 will be put into use together with Marine Geology 8 and Marine Geology 9.

"Marine Geology 10" will enter the stage of outfitting and equipment sea trial after being launched. It is expected to be put into use together with the "Marine Geology 8" and "Marine Geology 9" survey vessels by the end of this year.
