Close to the Ideal (Part 2)

The first part talked about my basic situation and current job. The next part will continue to record the process behind it and the underlying driving force of the change.

The content of the previous article can be summarized in one sentence, that is, "change jobs twice in one year, from back-end to product, and then to headhunting, step by step closer to your "ideal career". No exaggeration Not to mention that one of the two job changes was to quit. What is the ideal here? What does this have to do with headhunting? < /p>

After I resigned in June, I couldn’t bring myself to change my resume at home. On the one hand, I was exhausted physically and mentally from my previous job and had no energy to support me; on the other hand, I didn’t know myself. Where is the direction? When editing my resume, it seems that the keyboard and mouse are as heavy as a thousand pounds, and I can't open my hands or move my legs. When I had no direction, I once submitted jobs in two directions, including product manager and operations & head teacher. After interviewing for several positions and chatting with HR, I found that the position I chose was obviously not suitable for me. I seemed to have to start over again, find a new direction or just go with the flow and see where fate takes me.

Later, I realized that I am not too young. If I keep trying and making mistakes, I don’t know when I will find the “right” career/position, so I might as well set a direction and move forward in one go! What direction? I thought about my ideal self and possible future careers that I wrote in Fengmao class. Among them, the career that can best realize my ideal self is to be a partner in a career consulting company. And after Fengmao class ended, I did not follow the assignment. Looking for a related job as written, now seems to be an excellent opportunity for me to start over and embark on the path I wrote before.

I once thought of myself as a career companion. A friend said that the feedback received was that the focus and business model were unclear, and it was difficult to know where to start. I agree with this statement. After all, I have been a product manager for several years, and I really said no at the moment. I don’t know what to do. So what should I focus on now?

At this time, I thought about taking the human resources exam when I was taking the postgraduate entrance examination. This seems to be a direction that is more relevant to people’s career development in mainstream professions. In addition, I had never tried this direction before, and when I thought about human resources, I was eager to try it, so I decided to do it.

Human resources has six major modules: human resources planning, recruitment and allocation, training and development. , salary and benefits, performance management, employee relations. When I start to invest in human resources positions, I need to define a segmentation module (with my basic skills, it is unrealistic to think about everything)

For an outsider, it seems unrealistic to deal with compensation and benefits, performance management, and human resource planning (I am not well prepared myself). The remaining "recruitment, employee relations, training and development" seem to have some hope, so I'm not picky. I know that there are always opportunities to learn from all directions after entering a department, and my temperament will attract diversified businesses, so I basically applied for it based on what the employer gave me. Feedback, I found that recruitment seems to be successful. From the perspective of accompanying people's growth and career development, I need to connect with more people in the wider world to see everyone's growth path and see more careers. Possibility, recruitment seems to be closely linked to this.

After practice, I found that job openings related to international education are the most promising. So, I focused on recruiting positions. There was a foreign teacher recruitment manager position that seemed very suitable for me. I also received an interview invitation and had a great time chatting with the HR. So I discovered that this cross-industry opportunity is worth focusing on. After all, I have 9 years of background in the international education industry, my English is good, and I also want to do recruitment-related work. When I got home, I applied online for such positions in companies not far from my home, preparing to adjust my direction based on market feedback.

Later, I discovered another position related to both vision and human resources - headhunting. To be precise, I didn't find out about it, it was the headhunting company who took the initiative to find me. Later, I interviewed for 3 positions, two of which were with headhunting companies, plus the position in the headhunting department of my current company.

Our company’s position is the second in the headhunting interview sequence and the seventh in the overall interview. Choosing it involves timing, considerations, and fate.

When I interviewed with the first company, I wasn't very interested in being a headhunter. Although the HR seemed to like me, I said I wasn't ready yet. She said you can come back to me after you think about it. When I interviewed with the third company, I was no longer so resistant to being headhunted, but I clearly knew that there wouldn't be the atmosphere and space I wanted. Going to our company for an interview is like joining the job rather than an interview. Although during the whole process, Brother Jie was checking with me "How prepared are you for being a headhunter?", before finally leaving, I bought a pack from the good sale downstairs. Snacks to take home.

I read the company introduction that the director sent me carefully and sighed in my mind that this company seems to be good. Those businesses seem to be what I like: organizing international education industry conferences, working as a top international education media, international Teacher training, international education market research, supplying talents to international schools, etc. I have a secret but always-present feeling of "pride, pride, superiority" in my heart, which makes me almost convinced that this company can be expected. What was left was the worry about the overtime curse in headhunting work. Later, during the interview, I was relieved when I found out that my colleagues almost never work overtime. (Now I am the one who can work overtime best in the Shanghai office, but what makes me feel at ease is that no one will ask me to work overtime. When I send my JD to Moments at night, the director is worried that it will disturb my rest.)

< p> After I joined the company, I discovered that many people around me knew about our company, but I was just ignorant. This also makes me more confident in this company.

From the introduction to my current job in the previous article, it is not difficult to see that I have indeed been brainwashed by myself, and so far (working for 3 months) I am quite satisfied with my current job.

Finally, I will record what I can think of, how the harvest of Fengmao class brought me closer to my ideal this year.

"Abundant Life" is another course with the prefix "富" in Fortune School after "Abundant Life" and "Abundant Life". In my opinion, it is currently the most down-to-earth course in FS.

The previous "Fengfeng" is to let us look inward. "Fengshuo" combines inward looking with financial management, while "Fengmao" combines the awareness of workplace and life, market observation and research, and self-awareness. course. Looking inward allowed me to see my own strengths and driving force, which continued to remind me and accompany me in my subsequent life. Looking outward was the first time I truly looked at the outside world and the market. Which companies are there on the Internet? How are they developing? There are so many brands under the leading brand. I didn’t know much about these before. In last year's course, I also analyzed the ecological chain of the company I was working for at the time, not only my position in the company's chain, but also the company's competitiveness and resources in the entire market.

Now that I am a headhunter, I have discovered more survival paths, career choices, direction changes, etc. that I didn’t know about in the wider world. For example, a student who graduated from the English Department is qualified for the position of bilingual history teacher entirely because of the particularity of her major (English) training. My candidate told me that as a top English student, she is not only good at English, but also familiar with British and American culture and history. Compared with candidates who simply graduated from the history department but did not speak English well enough, she was more competitive. I have also seen candidates who have successfully transitioned from non-education industries to become teachers in international schools. Their courage and timing are so worthy of applause and so subtle.

Last year I couldn’t figure out how to realize the ideal of human companionship, but this year I’m already headhunting. In my current job, I communicate with candidates, listen to their experiences and experiences, understand their needs, and see their transformation. For one reason or another, I feel as if I am connected to the careers of one person after another. , maybe I am the one who can accompany them on their next journey in life.

Therefore, I especially want to say that if you never forget it, there will be a response. If I had not written down those words and ideals at that time, I would not be so proud and delighted at their quiet realization at this moment.

As mentioned above, I gradually moved from the backend to the frontend. The sales work I am doing now can be said to be completely front-end, and it is also a complete income-generating function. And I am very sure that I am more suitable for this position.

Therefore, as Fengmao emphasized, to solve the current confusion and problems does not mean that you quit your current job immediately, or that you use your energy in a new workplace, nor We must be in a certain position to shine.

The fact is: the important thing is not to hold a certain position, we can use our own advantages and stretch our energy in every moment. As a headhunter now, I know very clearly that I can use my strengths every day.

The driving force in the workplace is the energy of the blooming moment in the workplace that we have found and confirmed in the Fengmao class. It is not out of reach, nor can it be experienced only after completing many achievements and creating many successes. When I felt uneasy and anxious at work before, I tried to stay in my mind with my source of energy, the Hundred Gardens. Slowly, my heart calmed down and I knew what I should do. Therefore, the driving force energy in the workplace can bloom in every day life.

To say that this article is a summary for everyone to read, it is better to say that it is a summary for myself. This is another manifestation of the energy of the "camera" that is obsessed with recording the process. It’s almost too late to check in for the weekly update tonight, so I’ll wrap things up first, hoping that when I look back in the future, I won’t be slapped in the face. (I am worried that I have been brainwashed by myself and beautified, but this is the real me at this moment, so it doesn’t matter.)
