What does a structural engineer do?

Structural engineer refers to the responsibility and work of reasonably establishing and arranging the structural load-bearing system of a building (including the floor, roof of horizontal load-bearing system and masonry, column and shear wall of vertical load-bearing system) to meet the bearing capacity, safety, stability and use of the building. A structural engineer is a person who obtains corresponding qualifications, performs structural calculations and draws structural drawings.
