Fuzhou, known as Linchuan in ancient times, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Jiangxi Province. It is one of the important cities such as the middle reaches of the Yangtze River urban agglomeration, the economic zone on the west side of the Straits, the Poyang Lake ecological economic zone and the former Central Soviet Area. Fuzhou has been in the hinterland of Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta and Southeast Fujian since ancient times. Located in the east of Jiangxi Province, it governs 2 districts and 9 counties, with a total area of 654.38+0.88 million square kilometers. As early as the late Neolithic period, there were human activities in Fuzhou. In Linchuan District, stone axes, stone arrowheads, stone pounds and Shi Mao were found in Mopanshan in Fubei Town, Taozi Shanzhai in Shangdundu Town, Admiralty in Wengfang Village in Tong Yuan Township, Broken Brain in Zhaishang Village in Aoxi Town of Le 'an County, Jiashan in Wutang Town of Gongfang Town and Fangchengpai in Wanchong Town.

Lejiazhai and Luojiazhai in Shangdundu Town, Linchuan District, and Lingshan in Ni Qing Town; Iron axes, hoes, pottery and primitive porcelain from Shang and Zhou Dynasties, Spring and Autumn Period and Warring States Period were unearthed in Yingpan, Shandang Village, Shandang Town, Le 'an County, and Xiaofangkeng, Lintouwan, Aoxi Town. Many ruins of earthen cities, city walls, gates and moats still exist, indicating that people lived here during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period.
