Hunan international economics university, located in Changsha, Hunan Province, is a private undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education. Its predecessor was Xiangnan University of Arts and Sciences, which was founded in 1997 and renamed hunan international economics university in 1998. In 2005, with the approval of the Ministry of Education and the Hunan Provincial People's Government, the college was upgraded to an undergraduate college.

Changsha Medical College was formerly known as Xiangnan Secondary Health Vocational and Technical School founded by Professor He Binsheng on 1989. 1996 was renamed as Xiangnan Secondary Health School, 1999 was upgraded to Xiangnan Medical College, and its headquarters was moved to Changsha in 200/kloc-0. Approved by the Ministry of Education in 2005, it was upgraded to Changsha Medical College.
