In 395 AD, the Roman Empire was divided into East Rome and West Rome. In September 476, Odyak, a German mercenary officer, deposed romulus Augustus Luce, the last emperor of the Western Roman Empire, and the Western Roman Empire perished. The Eastern Roman Empire was destroyed by the Ottoman Empire (Ottoman Turkey) in 1453.
