What are the production bases of Shanghai GM?

SAIC-GM was established in June of 1997 and 12, and was jointly funded by Shanghai Automobile Group Co., Ltd. and General Motors Corporation. At present, it has four production bases, including Pudong Jinqiao, Yantai Dongyue, Shenyang Beisheng and Wuhan Branch, ***4 vehicle production plants and 2 powertrain plants, and is one of the important leading enterprises in China automobile industry. At present, it has three brands, Buick, Chevrolet and Cadillac, covering all gradient markets from high-end luxury cars to economical cars, as well as high-performance luxury coupes, MPVs, SUVs, hybrids and electric vehicles.

02 SAIC General Motors Yantai Dongyue Production Base

SAIC-GM Dongyue Base is located in Yantai Economic and Technological Development Zone, Shandong Province. It is composed of SAIC-GM Dongyue Automobile Co., Ltd. and SAIC-GM Dongyue Powertrain Co., Ltd., and is jointly built by SAIC, General Motors (China) and SAIC-GM with 25%, 25% and 50% shares respectively. At present, it has four major vehicle production processes: stamping, body painting and final assembly, as well as powertrain workshops such as casting, forging, engine and gearbox. The products cover six models, including Buick Angkor, Angola, Chevrolet Chuangku, Ai Xinweiou, Sail 3 and Lefeng RV. The powertrain includes 1.2L- 1.8L S-Tec and Ecotec engines, and S6 automatic manual transmission.

03 SAIC General Motors Wuhan Production Base

SAIC-GM Wuhan Branch is located in Jiangxia District, Wuhan "Automobile City", with a total area of about 2.38 square kilometers. The total investment of the first phase project is 7 billion yuan. At present, Buick Xinyinglang and other models are produced with an annual production capacity of 240,000 vehicles. The second phase of the project has a total investment of 7.5 billion yuan, and now it mainly produces Chevrolet Explorer, Knight and Buick Hideo. The construction content covers four process workshops: stamping, body, painting and final assembly. The annual production capacity of this project is 240,000 vehicles, and the total annual production capacity of Wuhan Branch is 480,000 vehicles.

04 SAIC-GM Shenyang Beisheng Base

SAIC-GM Beisheng Base is divided into North Plant and South Plant, and the latest Beisheng Phase III Plant refers to "North Plant". At present, the northern factory is responsible for the production of Chevrolet New Cruze and Buick Lang Wei, while the southern factory is responsible for the production of Chevrolet Classic Cruze, copaci and Buick GL8.
