Location and area Hailin City is located in the southeast of Heilongjiang Province, at the eastern foot of Zhangguangcai Ridge. It borders Mudanjiang City and Linkou County to the east, Ning'an City to the south, Shangzhi City to the west, Fangzheng County to the north, and Jilin Province to the southwest. It is located between 44°02′～45°38′ north latitude and 123°03′～129°57′ east longitude. Area is 9902 square kilometers. Area is 9877 square kilometers (simple book).
